NW London FC have formally submitted an appeal to the League regarding the circumstances surrounding Saturday's fixture against Stansted, which resulted in an 11–0 defeat.
While the pitch was marginally playable before kick-off, continuous heavy rain from halftime onward caused rapid deterioration. From approximately the 45th minute, large areas of standing water formed across the playing surface, creating unsafe conditions for both teams. Despite this, the match was allowed to continue.
Player safety immediately became a concern, with several individuals struggling to keep their footing. In response, the coaching staff made substitutions purely to protect players from potential injury, including key squad members. As conditions worsened, the game became increasingly uncompetitive and ultimately farcical, undermining the integrity of the contest.
The club has submitted video evidence to the League clearly showing the state of the pitch, including visible standing water, and believes the match should have been abandoned in accordance with FA guidance.
NW London FC fully respect League regulations, match officials and the competition, and do not raise this appeal lightly. However, we strongly believe that no team should be expected to compete in conditions that compromise fairness or player welfare.
We await the League's review and will provide no further comment until the process concludes.
