NW London produced another thrilling contest — something that has almost become their trademark this season — as they battled to a dramatic 3–2 victory away at Hoddesdon Town. The win makes it four league victories in a row, just days after the heartbreak of their FA Vase exit on penalties.

Despite Hoddesdon sitting bottom of the table, there was nothing easy about this encounter. The hosts began with real purpose and punished NW London's sluggish start, converting a cross within the opening minutes. With their confidence lifted, Hoddesdon pressed high, forced errors, and twice found the net again only to be denied by the offside flag.

NW London were struggling to find rhythm and lost Jose Mata early to injury, but substitute Gherardo Lucchesini had an impact when his cross caused confusion, the ball rebounding off a Hoddesdon defender for the equaliser.

The second half was a much-improved display from the visitors. Lucchesini went close with a big chance, but Hoddesdon regained the lead from a corner at the back post. A third looked likely, only for last-ditch defending to keep NW London alive.

The key turning point came when CJ Eseka was slipped through in the box and clipped by a Hoddesdon centre-back. The striker dusted himself off to convert the penalty, making it 2–2.

With both sides pushing in a tense finale, the decisive moment came in stoppage time. Lucchesini lifted a clever pass through, Eseka rounded the goalkeeper, and calmly slotted home to spark jubilant celebrations.

It was a match where NW London had to dig deep defensively and ride out pressure, but their attacking quality once again shone through when it mattered. The Gorillas return to Coles Park on Friday night to face May & Baker, looking to extend their winning run.
