NWL secured an impressive 4-1 victory against Enfield Borough in their second game of the season, showcasing dominant periods and clinical finishing.

The first half saw NWL in complete control, applying consistent pressure on Enfield. Mitchel Ngwueche opened the scoring with a delightful curling finish inside the box. Shortly afterwards, Ngwueche turned provider, assisting Krasniqi in a brilliantly worked move, finished exquisitely to double NWL's advantage.

Enfield Borough struggled to make an impact until late in the first half when they were awarded a penalty. However, goalkeeper Will Barker came to NWL's rescue, making an exceptional low save to preserve their lead.

Enfield returned from the break rejuvenated and quickly pulled a goal back, briefly swinging momentum their way. NWL absorbed the ensuing pressure admirably for the following 20 minutes, defending with determination.

Mitchel Ngwueche restored NWL's two-goal cushion with his second goal of the game, expertly executing a half-volley after the ball fell invitingly to him from a corner.

NWL wrapped up the scoring late on when substitute Monaye Mitchell was expertly played through by Salama, confidently slotting home a strong, low finish.

The only negative from an otherwise encouraging afternoon was CJ Eseka being forced off due to a hamstring injury.

A notable positive was the promising debut of 18-year-old Joshua Joseph, recently signed after impressing at the inner city World Cup over the summer.

NWL will look to build on this excellent performance when they travel to face Cannons Wood away on Saturday.
