As has become the theme this season, NW London were once again involved in an enthralling contest — and this one arguably topped the lot.
Coming into the match on the back of two consecutive defeats, the Gorillas faced 17th-placed Dunmow Town under the lights at Coles Park. With a lengthy injury list, Valentin Burcea started as a makeshift attacker, while Monaye Mitchell replaced the suspended Devin Mills at centre-back.
NW London began brightly, with Ariant Krasniqi firing wide from a counterattack. At the other end, Dunmow's Darnell Fuller — one of the league's top scorers — was proving a real threat, forcing a strong save from Moody Malik, making just his second start of the season.
Dunmow struck first, Fuller racing in behind to square for Emeh to tap home. Moments later, Fuller doubled the lead himself, finishing low under Malik's arms to make it 2–0. Despite dominating possession, NW London struggled to penetrate the visitors' compact defence before the break.
The second half brought a resurgence. Substitute Yvann Yohan, on his league debut, sparked the comeback with a well-struck effort from outside the box that slipped beyond the goalkeeper's grasp. He went close again soon after with a header just wide.
Just as NW London were building momentum, Fuller cut inside and fired in his second to restore Dunmow's cushion. But the response was immediate — Thulio Soares unleashed a dipping strike from distance that cannoned off the bar, and the pressure finally told when substitute Balde tapped home Krasniqi's driven cross.
The comeback was complete minutes later. Krasniqi's low shot was parried, and Salama reacted quickest to slot in the rebound for 4–3.
It looked like a remarkable turnaround — until stoppage time, when Fuller broke through again and was pulled down by Burcea, who saw red. Fuller converted the penalty to complete his hat-trick and secure a dramatic 4–4 draw.
It was a stunning night of football — NW London showing tremendous fight and attacking spirit, but ultimately denied victory at the very end.
